It’s definitely not queue jumping, it’s definitely good driving, it’s the same if there are 2 lanes going in the same direction and there is a red traffic light, using all of the road space gets twice the number of vehicles through, merging in turn is recommended but only if vehicles are travelling at a very low speed, it’s not recommended at high speed.

Great video, but I still haven’t been able to book a driving test appointment. Every time I check the booking website, I can’t find any available dates, no matter when I look. I also purchased an app to book cancelled appointments, but I still haven’t had any luck. I really don’t know what to do.

Oh I always laugh when I see a massive queue of cars leaving one lane empty leading up to a lane closure 😂 I always use that to get up as far as I can before I need to merge

Comprehensive! Great video - a valuable watch no matter how long one's been driving locally. I've lived in Littlemore for 17 years, and pretty much every trip across this roundabout results in seeing somebody making a mistake.

Iffley to Littlemore, why can you not take the left lane when the road markings has an arrow that goes left and straight on?

I'm glad you posted this video and that I found it. I passed my test in September last year and my instructor - although I really liked him and he helped me pass first time - there was NEVER any mention of putting the gas on at the same time as the clutch, even for hill starts because his car would somehow manage it every time! My first car was a 2004 Vauxhall Astra without any fancy stuff and I kept constantly stalling it. That car sadly died a couple of months ago and I've now switched to a 2017 Peugeot 308, however, I've been getting this same problem still, especially doing hill starts. I'm going to try and practice with using the gas a lot more, especially with your very clear and concise demonstrations/explanations!

26:08 explain the right signal please? I thought that was only if you are going to the last exit. My understanding is no signal until you pass the exit before yours, indicating left that you’re coming on. Thanks!

Thank you for the video, 23:57 you take the middle lane in the roundabout to take the second exit which is after twelve oclock. In that case should I signal right when entering in the middle lane ? since the exit is not straight ahead?

You mentioned during the video that on a test there may be a manoeuvre at Kassam. Perhaps you haven’t noticed but there are signs up at the entrance now indicating “No Learner drivers are permitted in the car park” and subject to a charge if ignored. Thought you might like to know.

Passed my test today second time with 8 minors! Your videos are what got me through it, so tysm for everything you do! Hope you have a great year! PS: I got a slightly different route - not anyone of the ones on your channel. I was asked to take right at the hollw way roundabout, left at the road towards headington roundabout and 5th exit to London A40 (E). Then left onto Risinghurst lane (be careful here as there is a bus lane on the left and you have to take a left only from the middle lane). Did some narrow roads and a staggered junction in Risinghurst and went back to test center. Honestly a pretty chill route and had no traffic today. Don't know if you knew about this route but wanted to mention it in case you wanted to cover it :)
